The Eustress concept provides the foundation principle that guides my coaching practice. It has taken over a decade of intense effort, trial and error to reach a fundamental appreciation of what is required to manage a modern life and feel fit and healthy. To produce long term beneficial results requires more dimension that simply pushing as hard as you can for as long as you can and as often as you can – thats a recipe for burnout / maladaptive stress.I have experienced hundreds of coaching projects and thousand’s of conversations on the topic of healthy living and stress management. It never fails to amaze me how the vast majority of people can be successful in many other aspects of their lives and yet crash and burn when it comes to the fundamental decisions regards food and exercise that influence the ability to manage stress effectively. Life doesn’t have to be such a slog.
I’ve worked with every demographic of the general population to further their health and fitness goals. I’ve had the opportunity to work with CEO’s of billion dollar companies in Europe and the USA to further their health and fitness goals and I’ve toured internationally with headlining musicians to, yes you guessed it, further their health and fitness goals. End of the day the greatest reward I receive from my service is hearing people tell me how good they feel for moving well, eating well or having had a good nights sleep not waking up tired. It’s not rocket science it’s simple consistent application of the fundamentals. By offering a spectrum of options from recovery methods through to performance challenges I can better manage your efforts towards long term beneficial adaptation. There is a real skill to blending the science and art of applying effort, gauging how hard to push and when to pull back, when to over exert and how to super compensate for a decent return – this is good stress.
